There's much to say over this past season of life and also for the next steps that we're about to jump into. But first we want to honor all of you, our friends and family; ones who have loved us and walked through life with us thus far. The time has come to say goodbye and also to say hello, and all of you are a big part of that in different ways. Over the past 10 years Sven and I have both left our homelands and ventured onto a journey of Missions abroad. Perth has become our home and it's where we have started our family. We love Perth as much as we love our homelands, because of the incredible relationships built here. It is with sadness in our hearts that we must say goodbye, in fact it's just as hard as when we had to say goodbye to loved ones 10 years ago... It never gets easier, I mean besides the fact that we've often experienced seeing many people again after we've parted ways. But distance is difficult, no matter how long you've been through it. It is a hard bite we've had to swallow, knowing that we will always be apart from family and friends no matter where we are in the world.

Never an easy decision, but it sounds like the right one for all of you now. We'll be praying for you, and we're available to talk if you need some perspective from the other side.

Thanks so much for posting your process. You have been through a very trying season, & need some breathing time in Him, with one another & in a stable environment. Sending you blessings as you move ahead. Take it gently, & keep pausing to check in with His highest - but He delights in you, and will make a way (though you don't see it yet). My selfish response is that I'll miss you when I'll pass through Perth in Nov - but if you're near Cape Town shortly (& I happen to be home) I'd love to see you both. Let me know. Big hug xx

Honestly going to miss you guys tons. I think I avoided thinking about it for a while but after reading this it all hit me and I lost it. I know I'll see you again but still. Sven, i have really valued our friendship over the years and I am very grateful for you, you've been there in some of the biggest moments of my life and hopefully we can keep going on big adventures together. Love you both.
